The volumes of available research, numerous interviews, and our own experiences quickly revealed that all successful academies - from 1969 to the present - have five important characteristics in common. These are what today's schools are using as the 5 Keys.
The 5 Keys for Successful Career Academies were first published in 1998. They undergo review and possible revision every five years to remain current and cutting-edge.
The 5 Keys will help you create a solid foundation for the success of your academies. They are adaptable to any setting (inner-city, suburban, rural, international) and useful for all forms of small learning communities (SLCs).
